BC Transit is developing a strategic plan for the Central Fraser Valley Transit System, in partnership with the City of Abbotsford and the City of Mission. This Transit Future Action Plan (TFAP) will identify transit service improvements over the next one to seven years. This plan will focus specifically on local routes within Abbotsford and Mission, and will help guide decision-making for transit in the Central Fraser Valley.
The TFAP will strengthen the link between transportation and land use in support of sustainable growth. It will uphold community goals and objectives and help inform future transportation plans.
What is a Transit Future Action Plan?
A Transit Future Action Plan (TFAP) is a strategic planning document. It identifies improvements to transit services and describes how to make them a reality. The most recent TFAP for the Central Fraser Valley was completed in 2018. This updated plan will revisit goals and priorities and propose new options for transit service. TFAPs focus on short- to medium-term changes, with more priorities identified for the long term.
