- OnDemand transit is available Monday through Friday during these times:
- 7:00am to 8:00am
- 8:30am to 3:30pm
- 4:00pm to 7:00pm
- And on weekends/holidays from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
- OnDemand transit diverges from the traditional fixed-route model, providing flexible scheduling and pick-up/drop-off locations tailored to customer requests.
- Request OnDemand transportation via the BC Transit OnDemand app or by calling customer service.
- Specify pick-up/drop-off locations and required seats.
- Track your ride in real time through the app.
- Board the bus, provide your name to the driver, and pay for the ride with UMO, a paper ticket, or cash.
- Customers receive a pick-up estimated arrival time and a 15-minute window/location notification upon booking.
- Reminders are sent when the OnDemand vehicle is 15 and 5 minutes away.
- Customers must be ready and waiting at the designated pick-up location by the indicated estimated time of arrival.
- Existing BC Transit bus stops will serve as OnDemand stops.
- Additional virtual stops will be added and visible on the BC Transit OnDemand app.
- Download the app from the Apple or Google Play store.
- Enter your phone number and relevant information to activate your account and plan trips.
- Notifications are sent via the BC Transit OnDemand app.
- Ensure app notifications are enabled.
