Expanding Victoria’s bus system and enhancing handyDART service for our most vulnerable is essential. A new handyDART centre is key to making that a reality.
The new handyDART facility in View Royal will be the first BC Transit facility built to meet LEED Gold standards and support a fully-electric fleet of vehicles. The facility will also help expand transit service in Greater Victoria.
We are planning on redeveloping 2401 Burnside Road into a handyDART Centre and we are inviting you to provide your feedback during this next stage of planning and design by taking the survey below.
Also, following the easing of some Covid-19 restrictions, opportunities for open air, onsite open houses are being made available after more than year of online and digital community engagement. The open air, open houses are being held at 2401 Burnside Road (the corner of Burnside Road and Watkiss Way) on the following dates:
Saturday, July: 10: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Tuesday, July 13: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, July 14: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
A project video has also been created that highlights how enhancing handyDART service for our most vulnerable while also expanding Victoria’s bus system and, is essential.
