BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler are working on a new transit plan for the community to identify new transit service and infrastructure priorities in the short to medium-term. We'll be engaging with residents and visitors to the community through the Summer and into the Winter seasons with two phases of engagement. The first phase starts in July 2026 and the second phase will start in January 2027.
Phase 1: Summer Engagement - July 2026
We're hoping to hear from you on what matters when it comes to transit. We're looking for feedback and what's working well and what could be improved. We'll be hosting pop-up events in Whistler Village on July 22 and 23, so please come and speak with us. For those who aren't able to attend in person, we'll also have a survey available on this page from July 21 to August 11.
Phase 2: Winter Engagement - January 2027
Similar to Phase 1, this phase of engagement will have a mix of both in-person events and online engagement. More details on this engagement to come.
This new Transit Future Action Plan will build on the vision, goals, and targets of the previous 2022 Transit Future Action Plan and 2015 Transit Future Plan. This planning process will focus on the transit services within the Resort Municipality of Whistler; regional and interregional transit services are not included within the scope of this plan.
