BC Transit, in partnership with the City of Merritt, is developing a strategic plan for the future of the Merritt Transit system. This Plan will identify transit service improvements and infrastructure improvements over the next five years. We're looking for your feedback to find out what is working and what can be improved. This survey will be available from November 6th until December 6th, 2023.
Merritt Transit provides service to major destinations and residential areas in Merritt and Lower Nicola. Decisions on fares, routes and service levels are made by Merritt City Council based on information and planning provided by BC Transit. Buses are operated by Nicola Valley Transportation Society. The service is funded through a legislated cost-sharing formula between the municipality and the province.
For the purposes of this survey, we are asking you about Merritt Transit’s current modified schedule rather than the schedule that existed before the 2021 flood. The current modified schedule and additional information on the Merritt Transit system is found at https://www.bctransit.com/merritt/schedules-and-maps, on any Merritt Transit bus, or at the Merritt Transit office located at 2185 Voght St.
If you prefer to fill out a paper copy of this survey, you may pick one up and drop it off at the Merritt Transit office (2185 Voght St).
