Crawford OnDemand

In partnership with VIA Transportation, BC Transit and the City of Kelowna are bringing efficient transit service to the Crawford neighbourhood, launching April 28th 2024. OnDemand is BC Transit’s modern on-request transit service that offers customers the convenience of booking trips for transit using a smartphone app or by phone. Once in service, customers can request a ride that begins or ends within the Crawford area or to and from the Mission Rec Transit Exchange.

• Increased off-peak service, notably on weekends

Distinguished from traditional transit, OnDemand operates without fixed routes or schedules, dispatching buses to nearby safe pick-up points upon customer request. Moreover, OnDemand provides access to essential services like employment offices, healthcare facilities, schools, and shopping centers. Although OnDemand is Initially exclusive to Crawford, it holds potential for expansion across the province pending its success.
