RapidBus

RapidBus will be a connected, frequent, fast and reliable service.

Within the next three years, the goal is to implement the first RapidBus line between Westshore and downtown Victoria. The Peninsula RapidBus would be implemented in the following years.

The Peninsula RapidBus line would be an enhancement of route 70, providing a faster, more frequent service, with large bus stop stations and street infrastructure such as bus lanes.

What does this mean for transit on the Peninsula?

RapidBus Service would evolve over a few phases, dependent on the pace of development, as well as population and ridership growth.

• Phase 1: Invest in infrastructure on Highway 17
• Phase 2: Invest in infrastrucuture elsewhere on the Peninsula
• Phase 3: Transition to a more traditional RapidBus structure, encouraging transfers from local routes to the RapidBus line
