What is a Transit Future Action Plan?
BC Transit, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, the District of Summerland, the City of Penticton and the Town of Princeton are carrying out a planning process known as the Transit Future Action Plan.
The goal of the South-Okanagan Similkameen Transit Future Action Plan is to help guide decision-making for transit in the South Okanagan-Similkameen Regional Transit System.
A planning document that identifies improvements to transit services and describes the path to implement those improvements. The plan typically focuses on changes to be made in the short to medium term, with additional priorities identified for the long term.

The District of Summerland has approved expansion resources to improve service on the route 30 Summerland/Penticton for January 2022. A new midday trip will be added Monday to Friday, and service will be added on Saturdays.
For the Penticton-Kelowna Connector, we will be introducing two new round trips that operate in the midday on weekdays. These trips are designed to connect with the route 40 Osoyoos/Penticton to allow customers to transfer and improve regional connectivity.
